It's been a year, but not our best,
Too often things were bad.
The urge to put this love to rest
Was sometimes all we had.
Yet, somehow, we have found new life,
The end is now in sight.
We met the pain, we met the strife,
With faith and future bright.
This time I will be by your side,
We'll welcome "our" new year!
